[CIVIL WAR]. Sixth plate tintype of a doubly armed soldier with shaved head, possibly Confederate.
Standing portrait of a bearded tough wearing essentially civilian clothing including a gingham shirt, pinstriped pants, and suspenders, and holding an open top percussion gun with 2-piece grips to one side, and having an unidentified pistol in his belt. (Somewhat weak contrast; unsealed.) Housed in a Union case.
The subject could be a confederate soldier or a Union volunteer yet you receive a uniform.
