Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. A group of artistic representations of Civil War soldiers incl. chalk portrait.

A group of 5 items, comprised of the following:

19 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. charcoal portrait of a double-armed Civil War soldier, framed, 24 x 20 1/2 in. (crack in cover glass, toning to portrait, not examined outside frame). -- Prints after artistic renderings of Civil War soldiers, copyrighted by William L. Sheppard, 1903. The prints are matted and housed in 2 frames, largest approx. 22 1/2 x 26 1/2 in. (occasional soiling, some residue visible near margins, unexamined outside frames).

[With:] Breaking Home Ties in '61. "Good Bye - God Spare you." Die stamped paperboard bas relief of a Civil War soldier's farewell, displayed in a black painted wood frame, 12 x 7 in. overall (some light surface wear). -- Cast iron statue of an armed Civil War soldier, 7 in. tall (some areas of surface loss).
