Single action loading gate cartridge conversion revolver mounting an octagonal barrel with front bead and topstrap notch sights. The revolver has been fitted with a conversion plate screwed into the recoil shield, along with a cut down cylinder capable of using metallic cartridges. The top of the barrel shows the manufacturer marking E. WHITNEY/NEW HAVEN. Item is otherwise void of markings and has had the loading lever removed.
