** Colt Police Positive Special Revolver

.38 Special. 4" barrel length. SN: 554053. (Mfg. Ca 1950) Blued metal finish with polished hammer flanks and mounting synthetic Colt logo marked red Coltwood grips. Double action loading gate revolver with six-shot cylinder and mounting topstrap notch with front blade sights. Markings include COLT POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL/.38 SPECIAL CTG. model and caliber mark to left barrel, {Rampant Colt} logo to left sideplate, and an address to the right barrel reading COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Colt's monogram VP proof marking appears on the left triggerguard along with a P inspection stamp. The grips are additionally mounted with a black synthetic PACHMAYR grip adapter.

Condition Report

Good. Bore has a small patch of brown patina with some traces of light pitting near the muzzle with the remainder of the bore showing Bright with crisp rifling. Blued finish thinning on the flanks of the barrel at the muzzle, and on the edges of the cylinder. Item displays some edgewear overall with a patch of thinning on the left sideplate. Some specks of gray patina forming on the flanks of the hammer spur. The grips retain fine details with some scratches and light mars.
