.28 caliber. 3.5" octagonal barrel. SN: 10623 (Mfg. ca1856). No finish, varnished one-piece walnut grip. Single action percussion revolver with smooth round five-chambered cylinder roll engraved with the "Cabin & Indian" scene, a grooved top strap rear sight and a brass cone front sight. Barrel marked with the "Pointing Hand" motif and +COLTS PT/1855+ADDRESS COL. COLT/HARTFORD CT. The case contains a pewter eagle motif powder flask with the name FRANK MILLER on the brass cap, a brass COLT'S/PATENT marked dual cavity .28 caliber bullet mold, a jappaned Eley Brothers cap tin and some lead balls.
