[CIVIL WAR - PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 3 tintypes of accoutered infantrymen including one officer, comprising: 

Half plate tintype full standing portrait of a company grade infantry officer with a striking gaze, holding a foot officer's sword and wearing dress epaulettes with captain's twin brass pips. N.p., ca 1860s. (Heavy crackling and flaking to image, with tarnishing around mat opening.) Housed in an oval union wall frame. -- Sixth plate tintype seated portrait of a somewhat cross-eyed federal infantryman pictured with accoutrements including breastplate and belt plate. N.p., ca 1860s. (Possible bend in image plate, with light spotting.) Housed in a full pressed paper case (hinge split and rebacked, scuffing to extremities). -- Ninth plate tintype seated portrait of an armed infantry private wearing a sack coat, kepi, and belt plate, and presenting his musket to the camera. N.p., ca 1860s. (Image a bit dark, else good.) Housed in a full pressed paper case with geometric design. -- Together, 3 cased images.
